Mastering Lightroom’s Library Module
One of the most powerful aspects of Lightroom is the ability to organize your photos so that you can quickly find any photo at any time. This daylong class begins with an in-depth look at the import process and then moves to the tools and techniques for getting mega organized. You’ll learn methods for sorting winners and losers from a new shoot, different ways to add and organize keywords, working with collections, and filtering for various types of metadata. You’ll also learn about important pitfalls and how to avoid them.
Mastering Lightroom’s Develop Module
This in-depth daylong class is designed for photographers who are ready to experience Lightroom’s Develop module first hand. You will be guided through the editing process so that you can develop muscle memory as you explore the Develop module’s tools and techniques and how they’re used to create finished images. By the end of this class you’ll know everything you need to know to begin transforming your photos from bland to grand.
Going Mobile With Lightroom
One of the overlooked features in Lightroom is the ability to synchronize your images with your mobile devices using the Lightroom CC app. This gives you the ability to create up-to-date portfolios that goes everywhere you go. You can also edit photos on your device and have those edits automatically sync with your desktop Lightroom catalog – and vice versa. One of the best uses of Lightroom CC on a mobile device is when working with art directors and clients because you can synchronize images in real time so they can see them on their mobile devices as you work.
Creating Photo Books With Lightroom
Learn to create custom photo books using Lightroom. You’ll get sequencing tips to tell your story effectively, learn how to prepare your images with consistent tone and color for book printing, use Lightroom’s Book module to create custom layouts, explore book design ideas using Blurb, and much more! By the end of the class, participants will be ready to order their own photographic books.
Lightroom and the Fine Art of Printing
Many Lightroom students want to learn to make fine art prints, but don’t want to learn Photoshop to do so. The good news is you don’t need Photoshop to make high quality prints. This class will teach you what you need to know about printer and paper technology and how to use Lightroom’s Print module to print fine art images that are suitable for the gallery wall.
Photoshop for Lightroom Users
This class is specifically for Lightroom users who are ready to add Photoshop’s powerful editing tools to their editing workflow. While basic Photoshop classes are designed for people new to editing and cover topics that Lightroom users already know, this unique class is designed to help Lightroom users focus on the useful aspects of Photoshop without spending time on concepts that don’t pertain to them. You’ll learn about layers, selections, masking, and Photoshop’s world-class retouching tools. Most importantly, you’ll learn best workflow practices for moving raw and non-raw files between Lightroom and Photoshop.
