Air Support for Photographers
Due to the popularity of drones commercial photographers are being asked more and more to provide drone photography to their clients. For many pro photographers this presents two problems. First, they don’t own a drone and know how to safely operate it. More importantly though, to use a drone for the purposes of aerial commercial photography requires an FAA Remote Pilot Certification. Both these issues create very big obstacles for someone who simply needs to shoot a few aerial photos for a client. And this doesn’t take into account the multitude of other things that are needed for safe and successful drone shoots, such as special liability insurance and working with a visual observer.
This is where I come in. I’ve already gone through the learning curve. I am FAA certified and and I carry drone liability insurance. I can work directly with the client or act as your drone pilot and camera operator while you fill the role of director of photography. I can take care of post or deliver unedited files. My goal is be part of your team and help you serve your clients with professional results. If you’re in the Pacific Northwest and need a hand, let me know.
