From Raw to the Wall The Complete Workflow using Lightroom and Photoshop In this daylong seminar you’ll learn to design a portrait post-production workflow that begins with the Raw files from your camera and ends with fully retouched selected files ready for wall portrait printing.
In the first half of the workshop you'll learn to use Lightroom to quickly upload, organize, and edit groups of Raw files from a shoot. Then you'll learn to use Lightroom's output modules to create slideshows, layouts for printing, and Web galleries that can be uploaded to your website directly from Lightroom. You'll also see how easy it is to use Lightroom and a projector to make sales presentations to clients. After the important photos are identified they're ready for special attention in Photoshop.
The second half of the workshop you'll learn to use Photoshop CS3 to take special images to the next level of quality by eliminating distractions and enhancing desirable qualities. You'll see what it takes to transform an individual image into a file ready for wall portrait printing. You'll also learn to use Layers to create a flexible, bullet-proof retouching workflow that saves time and allows you to quickly make changes later. The skills learned during this portion of the workshop will allow you to create custom works of art that are true creative expressions that your customers will be willing to pay more for.
Prerequisites: This seminar is intended for portrait photographers. However, the skills you will learn here can be applied to many different kinds of photography. Length of presentation: Daylong workshop with break for lunch. |
